Literature Text

dusk.
the painter’s brushstroke shading the sky
when decisions waiver between light
                                                       or
                                                            dark.
daybreak.
i was happy.
you were happier.
clouds couldn’t stop us, baby.

it'll be dark soon, i know.
you don’t need
my falling star soul
to be complete.
(you didn’t even notice when i stopped kissing you back.)

our day was on the winter solstice.
(i never could stand cold.)
night fell too fast, babe.
i can barely find your silhouette,
so stop pretending to see me clearly.
the starlight is on your side,
but I can’t live without
the light of day.
oh em gee i wrote something!?!?

we're talking about relationships in health class. it's uncomfortable when they talk about mentally abusive relationships.

(and for everyone who wrote to me in my journal- thank you. you really are wonderfulbeautiful people. )

(i just re-editted this thing like 4 times. asdfghjkl; first writing of '09.)
